Bearing Song and Gifts is an art consignment and guitar studio owned by Sarah Hanson Hofstetter a recording singer-songwriter from Alaska.  Bearing Song and Gifts has grown into a consignment store for local art and childrens' clothes. We now have over 44 artists' work on consignment! Sarah teaches beginning guitar players of all ages, sells and orders what any guitar player/musician needs.

What She Does

Sarah teaches guitar to ages 5 and up and specializes in catering to each persons individual abilites. Her main focus is enjoyment and encourages students to be patient with themselves as they begin a new endevor. This is especially important for adults. Children are experts at trying new things but adults are often thrown off by being a novice. "I always start where you are whether you have practiced all week or have not touched the guitar since the last time we had a lesson." Sarah encourages practice though and sends students home with assignments.
